Christopher Sisneros

Artist: Women of Darby Pop

At an early age, Christopher Sisneros read comics, and decided he wanted to be a superhero when he grew up. After soon realizing jumping from rooftops wasn’t a feasible profession, he decided he would draw the superheroes jumping from the rooftops instead. From then on, Christopher read and emulated what he saw in comics in his work. In 2010, he graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Lakewood, CO with a BFA in Children’s Book Illustration. Since then, he’s been living in Wheat Ridge, CO, working towards a career as a comic book Penciler.

In 2013, Christopher self-published his first comic, Rotten Bananas; a Humor anthology book he wrote and drew in the vein of old underground comix. Since, he’s self-published 3 more issues, with the help of friend/inker Shane Kelly. When he’s not working as a mild-mannered thrift store cashier, he can be found exhibiting at comic conventions all around the Denver area. In 2016, Matthew became one of the winning artists of Darby Pop’s second Breaking Into Comics contest: The Women of Darby Pop.
