Jeff Burns

Writer: Women of Darby Pop

Jeff has always wanted to be a superhero.  But after several failed attempts using radioactive spiders, cosmic rays, and gamma radiation, he decided to focus on creating geeky shows instead!

He’s the writer/director of Super Knocked Up, an action/comedy series about a female super-villain who gets knocked up by a superhero and has to raise the baby with her nemesis.  The online series has amassed over 2 million views and was chosen as Most Original Web Series at The Geekie Awards.

Jeff is also the creator and host of Super Geeked Up, a live weekly geek culture show where he and his co-host discuss sci-fi, fantasy, comics, video games and play geeky improv games with guests from the entertainment world.

In 2016, Jeff became one of the winning writers of Darby Pop’s second Breaking Into Comics contest: The Women of Darby Pop.

He loves discussing such geeky topics as: why The Flash is the best show on TV, how he wishes he had spidey-sense, why Bioware is hands down the greatest video game developer ever, how awesome the movie Equilibrium is (gun-kata!), the best places to time travel to, and everything and anything to do with Star Wars!

You’ll often find him at Comic Cons moderating panels, performing Super Geeked Up LIVE on stage, and just generally geeking out!  He’s thrilled to have been given the opportunity to host panels and Super Geeked Up LIVE at so many awesome cons, including San Diego Comic-Con, Fan Expo Canada, WonderCon, Emerald City Comicon, and Montreal Comiccon!

He’s currently working on two sci-fi/fantasy graphic novels and always loves talking about geeky things so hit him up on twitter @supergeekedup!
